Best security sign ever!

I found this sign recently on a wall here at the Isle of Dogs/London. You really have to love the Brits and their fantastic sense of humour! When I first looked at the sign, while passing by in the bus, I only saw that the “Anti climbing device” was treated with Anthrax! Only at the [...]

I uploaded some more video clips that I took at yesterday’s Paul McCartney concert at the Roundhouse in Camden/London onto YouTube. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Part 1: WPvideo 1.10 Download! Part 2: WPvideo 1.10 Download! Part 3: WPvideo 1.10 Download!
MacOSX – Leopard launch – Apple Store London
I went to the Apple Store in London (Regent Street Store) tonight after work to pick up my copy of the new OS as soon as it became available..and also maybe to get a free T-shirt. The store closed at 16h00, I guess mainly to allow them to upgrade all of the machines at display [...]
Paul McCartney – Live at the Roundhouse – Camden/London
I had the pleasure to go and see Paul McCartney playing live at the Roundhouse in Camden last evening. The concert was part of the BBC Electric Proms and sold out since a long time! It was a wonderful evening. Seeing McCartney live, in a rather small location like the Roundhouse is just amazing! He [...]
Herbert Grönemeyer at the Royal Albert Hall
Last Thursday I went to see Herbert Grönemeyer at the Royal Albert Hall here in London. I was kind of hoping that it would be a nice evening, and guess what: It was even better! It was certainly one of the best concerts that I have seen this year! Grönemeyer clearly enjoyed playing at the [...]
London Underground: The Song
I found the below Flash movie recently..and funny enough, I kind of enjoyed it. Beware the language. London Underground: The Song (from the album Fitness to Practice), Amateur Transplants. Click here to buy the album.
Tube strike – let the fun begin

I guess this week I will really enjoy even more the fact that I can walk to work and don’t have to rely on public transport. Since today, 18h00 Metronet, the company who maintains part of the London Underground network will be on strike for 72 hours. As a consequence, only 3 of the 12 [...]
Christmas – September?
Maybe it is just me, but I kind of feel irritated to see that some of the department stores have already started putting up dedicated areas with Christmas decoration! Yes, I know, it is the same thing every year, but still, September 1st seems to be way too early! We are still trying to enjoy [...]
Latin Music and other fun at Burgess Park
Another nice weekend in London! The weather was wonderful and there is always something new to see in London. One of this weekends events was the Carnaval del Pueblo in Camberwell (next to Elephant and Castle in South London). It is the biggest latin Carneval event in the UK, over 100’000 visitors last year. I [...]
The O2 – again
Looks like the guys the The O2 have changed there lightning schema a bit. Instead of turning the new lights completly off over night, they seem to be keeping only the blue and red illumination on the masts on, and only turn the bright white lightning off. Much nicer view from my place now. (Click [...]
The O2 – Opening Fireworks
As mentioned earlier, this weekend was the opening weekend of the O2. I didn’t even know that there were fireworks planned, so I wasn’t really prepared to capture it on video or take pictures. Anyway, I managed to take some impressions. See the short clip below.
Greenwich & Docklands Festival

Among the many events this weekend, was also the Greenwich & Docklands festival. A series of events were happening in the area. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really that favourable on Sunday, but at least on Saturday, I was able to enjoy some of the performances.
The O2 – Formerly known as The Dome
When I came home this evening, the view out of my apartment had slightly changed. Tomorrow is the official opening day of “The O2″, most people still know it as the dome, build for the millenium festivities, and mostly empty ever since..but that is about to change. The dome has been converted into one of [...]
Hydepark Calling – and the rain came….
We are in the middle of the OpenAir Festival Season. I went to HydePark Calling today, mainly to see Peter Gabriel. I arrived at the Festival area shortly after five, and although there were a lot of people there, my first impressions were still that I have been at better OpenAir festivals in the past. [...]
Thriller – Live
The next live event I went to see here in London was “Thriller – Live” at the Hammersmith Apollo. Yet again, I have not been disappointed! A great evening! Based around songs from Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 it was like a trip down memory lane! Getting some decent images or videos from the [...]
Die Fantastischen Vier Video Clip
As promised, here is a video clip showing some of the images/videos I took recently at the Forum in Kentish Town. It is 15 minutes long…enjoy, but don’t expect HiDef quality. The pictures and videos have been taken with a Sony DSC T9.
Die Fantastischen Vier

I went to see "Die Fantastischen Vier" tonight at the Forum in Kentish Town, and I have to say that I haven't been disappointed at all! It was great fun! Nearly 2 hours incredible fun! Although it was a bit weird to be surrounded only by German speaking people (kind of expected this). It was [...]
Red Bull Air Race coming to London

I have just noticed that the Red Bull Air Race will this year, for the first time, come to London (28/29th July). And to make it even more exiting, the "track" will be on the river Thames between Docklands and the O2 (Millennium Dome), meaning directly in front of the place where I live! I [...]
Fanta 4
As the title already indicates, this entry is about the german band "Die Fantastischen Vier". I heard recently that they will have a gig here in London, as part of their Club-tour called "Fornika für Dich" Well, I have never seen them live, and as such, I decided to buy tickets straight away. They will [...]
Loreena McKennitt

Last evening I went to see Loreena McKennitt at the Barbican. The event was part of her "An Ancient Muse" Tour, and I have to say, that seeing/listening to her live on stage is fantastic! A truly unforgettable evening! A must see!
Classical Spectacular

I went to see my first major concert since I moved to London. It was actually pure luck that I even became aware of it. While walking around London, I saw posters for an event at the Royal Albert Hall called "Classical Spectacular". Well, once I was home, and read more about it on the [...]
London Appartment
Well, everything is moving ahead rather quickly. I have signed the rental agreement for an apartment in London. It is only a 10-15 minute walk away from my workplace. As such, I won't have to "enjoy" the morning and evening fun on the different means of public transport. But since it is located in the [...]
